Mark 16:14-18 (KJV)
14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
As a believer you already have been given the resources to help people. The stronger your belief in His Words becomes, the more signs and wonders will "follow" you. You will not have to see the signs, just believe they will follow you, because His Word say so. Believe that when you lay hands on the sick, they shall recover. You may not see immediate recovery, but the Word says they shall recover. Jesus also does not make this a "suggestion" to lay hands on the sick, He says believers "shall" lay hands on the sick. Sort of sounds like a command.
Jesus could not tell believers to do this if we were not capable of doing it.
Another verse about what Jesus expects of us is this one.
Matthew 10:7-8 (KJV)
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
It looks like Jesus has given us the resources to do what He says to do, or else He could not tell us to do something we could not do. We are to give away what He gave us.
In the name of Jesus, be blessed with the life of God. Thank you Jesus.
