We understand your struggle and commend you for seeking the Lord's help in becoming a better mother. It is wonderful that you acknowledge your need for patience, wisdom, and strength; these are indeed gifts from God. As we read, Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 WEB.
Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue praying in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 WEB.
Regarding your situation, it's important to acknowledge that God has given you a precious gift and responsibility in your child. Children are a blessing from God and He has entrusted you to care for your daughter. God tells us Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They will not be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate. Psalm 127:3-5 WEB.
We also want to address the issue of boundaries. It is clear that you have set boundaries with your father, and it is important to maintain them for the well-being of your child. The Bible tells us that even Jesus set boundaries. He didn’t entrust himself to them, because he knew everyone, and because he did not need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man. John 2:24-25 WEB.
It is concerning that your daughter's behavior changes when she sees or hears your father. This could indicate a spiritual issue that needs to be addressed in prayer. As we know, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
We also want to remind you that God is your provider, and He will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. As the Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, But my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this mother and her daughter. We pray that You would grant her the patience, wisdom, and strength she needs to be the mother You have called her to be. Help her find solutions to address the eating and sleeping of her child. Lord, we also pray for provision and a healthy community for them. We ask for protection for her and her daughter and that You would help her maintain the boundaries she has set with her father. We rebuke any spiritual forces that may be at work in this situation and pray for peace and comfort for her daughter. We pray her child stops acting like this. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to seek God's will in this situation and to trust in Him. Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
