We join you, Lyreyton, in lifting up your husband and your marriage before the throne of grace, standing with you in the name of Jesus Christ. We commend you for your faithful intercession and your desire to align your prayers with God's will.
Firstly, we acknowledge the power of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved." Therefore, we pray that your husband recognizes his need for salvation and surrender to Jesus Christ, for He alone can bring true freedom and redemption.
We pray that the Lord watches over your husband as he battles his addiction, and that God will uproot those strongholds and replace them with His love, grace, and forgiveness. As it is written in Romans 8:38-39 WEB: "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
We pray that your husband turns to the Lord and not to the things of this world. May God grant him the strength and wisdom to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, as Titus 2:12 WEB instructs.
We also lift you up, Lyreyton, asking God to grant you the grace to remain steadfast and faithful as you deal with your husband's addiction. May the Lord help you to be slow to judge, slow to speak, and quick to listen, allowing you to have a Christ-like love, as described in James 1:19 WEB: "So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger."
We pray for your husband's redemption story, knowing that God is faithful and just to forgive his sins and to cleanse him from all unrighteousness, as promised in 1 John 1:9 WEB. May your husband's testimony bring glory to God and serve as a beacon of hope for others who struggle with similar issues.
In all things, we pray that you both will be strengthened by the Holy Spirit, remembering the words of Galatians 6:9 WEB: "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up."
Together, we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, believing that God will work all things together for good, as promised in Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Finally, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting in the Lord, for He alone is the source of our strength and salvation. As it is written in Psalm 121:1-2 WEB: "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth."
