We join you in lifting up Joseph in prayer, standing in agreement for his deliverance and restoration. It is encouraging to see that you've ended your prayer 'In Jesus name,' as it is only by His name that we have access to God Our Father.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
we come before you today, lifting up Joseph.
Lord, You tell us inyour Holy Word that
You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5 WEB),
and we claim that promise for Joseph.
Open his eyes to see that You are right there with him,
holding his hand in the storm.
Give him comfort in the reality that
The Lord redeems the soul of his servants.
None of those who take refuge in him will be condemned
(Psalm 34:22).
Father,we also know that David exclaimed:
Bless Yahweh, my soul.
All that is within me, bless his holy name!
Bless Yahweh, my soul,
and do not forget all his benefits
who forgives all your sins
who heals all your diseases
who redeems your life from destruction
who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies
who satisfies your desire with good things,
Your renewing youth like the eagles.
(Psalm 103:1-5).
We thank You, Lord, for these promises,
and we ask that You break the chains of addiction in Joseph's life.
Break his cycle of destructive behavior,
Lord, and draw him close to Jesus.
The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
Jesus has come that they may have life,
and may have it abundantly
(John 10:10).
After confessing believe and repenting, we are forgiven.
The Lord hath not called the righteous but sinners to repentance (Luke 5:32).
Strengthen him to do your will, Lord.
That he will:
rejoice in the Lord always
Again I will say, rejoice.
Let your gentleness be known to all men.
The Lord is at hand.
In nothing be anxious,
but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus
(Philippians 4:4-7).
Lord, we also pray for Joseph's daughter,
that their relationship may be restored, healed,
and You will returned to God.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh,
"thoughts of peace, and not of evil,
to give you hope and a future."
(Jeremiah 29:11).
In this bad season Joseph's faith needs to be strengthened, increased.
For most certainly (Jesus, Son of God speaking),
I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain,
'Be taken up and cast into the sea,'
and does not doubt in his heart,
but believes that what he says is happening;
he shall have whatever he says.
Therefore I tell you,
all things whatever you pray and ask for,
believe that you have received them, and you shall have them
(Mark 11:23-24).
Please, Lord, do not let him lose his home and job.
Stand against the ploys of the enemy to
steal, kill and destroy
(John 10:10).
In Jesus Christ (Jesus, Christ) we pray,
Amen.
Joseph is deeply loved by God. God is a loving Father patiently waiting to pour out love on Joseph.
Like the prodigal son
(Luke 15:11-32), Joseph needs to come to his senses
that causes him to repent
and return to walk with God through Christ.
May God also pushing him
(like with the prodigal son to go home),
where he can and will repent and be forgiven.
If the spirit of the Lord, should make Joseph repentant,
expect the Father to run toward a repentant Joseph, full of love and compassion
(Luke 15:20).
The Lord has promised in His Word that
if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus,
and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead,
that person of faith will live with and serve Christ
(Ephesians 2:8 and Romans 10:9).
Addiction may have Joseph bound,
he does not have to be breaking the chains alone,
but in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of the Lord is on him, because he has been anointed by the Lord
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to proclaim release to the captives,
recovering of sight to the blind,
to deliver those who are crushed, and
to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord
(Luke 4:18-19).
We urge you all, do not become offended by Satan emoting with Joseph's life.
We know we wrestle not against carnal, earthly things,
but against authorities of ruling darkness powers in the air
(Ephesians 6:12).
In Jesus Christ (Jesus, Christ) we say together:
"The Lord rebuke you Satan, the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you.
Is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?"
(Jude 1:9).
The Lord disciplines whom He loves (Hebrews 12:6).
He promises to deliver us from every evil deed if we believe, expect, trust the Lord.
For that day
he will save us
and bring us to his heavenly kingdom.
To God, the only wise,
be glory through Jesus Christ forever.
Amen
(2 Timothy 4:18).
Joseph's repentance, with his continued belief, expectations, trust in Christ will save Joseph,
nurture him to grow spiritually in the Lord Jesus.
