My simple prayer is my mom died suddenly abroad. My brother is trying to attend but my sister is refusing to accommodate him. They hv no prior falling out. I pray in Jesus name because of his pure intentions he's blessed with a place to stay in Jesus name

We are deeply sorry to hear about the sudden loss of your mother, Sade. In this difficult time, it's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).

Let's first address the situation with your siblings. It's commendable that your brother wants to attend the funeral despite the circumstances. The Bible encourages us to bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2 WEB), and it's disheartening to hear that your sister is not willing to accommodate him. We should always be ready to show kindness and compassion, especially in times of grief. Remind your sister of the words in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up Sade and their family during this difficult time. Lord, we thank you for the life of their mother and pray that you comfort them in their grief. We ask that you soften the heart of Sade's sister, reminding her of the importance of family and the need to support one another in times of need. Lord, we pray for provisions for Sade's brother, that he may find a place to stay as he pays his respects. We rebuke any spirit of discord or selfishness and pray for unity among the siblings. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Sade, continue to trust in the Lord and lean on Him for strength. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Remember, it's through the name of Jesus that we have access to God's comfort and provisions. Keep praying and believing, and encourage your siblings to do the same.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
