We understand your struggle, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we want to help you navigate through this situation in a way that honors God. Firstly, let's address the unwanted images. The Bible tells us to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5, WEB). When unwanted images or thoughts come, acknowledge them, but then reject them in the name of Jesus and replace them with thoughts that are pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8, WEB).
However, we must also address the deeper issue. It's important to remember that it is not wise to set our hearts on someone who is pursuing other relationships. The Bible tells us to flee from sexual immorality, and that includes lust and coveting someone who is not our spouse (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB; Exodus 20:17, WEB).
Let's pray for you:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, asking for Your help. Lord, we ask that You would cleanse the mind of our dear brother/sister from these unwanted images. Help them to take every thought captive to obey Christ. Lord, we also ask that You would heal their heart from this situation. If this person is not Your will for their life, help them to accept that and move forward. Give them patience, give them peace, and above all, help them to keep their eyes fixed on You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
