We understand your struggle with quitting smoking, Sureva, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God (1 Corinthians 6:19 WEB). Therefore, we must honor God with our bodies.

Smoking is not explicitly mentioned in the Bible, but we know that we are called to avoid things that harm our bodies and enslave us. "Everything is lawful for me," but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is lawful for me," but I will not be brought under the power of anything (1 Corinthians 6:12 WEB).

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus to lift up Sureva. Lord, give them the strength and resilience to overcome their addiction to smoking. Help them to honor their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Break the chains of this habit and fill Sureva with your presence and peace. Guide them to wholesome activities and supportive friends that can help them through this journey. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Sureva, in addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek support from fellow believers and professional help if necessary. Remember, God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Keep your eyes on Jesus and trust in His strength.

Lastly, we noticed that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It's important to know that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you haven't already, consider confessing Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Only then can you find true freedom and victory.

Dear Sureva,

We're here with you, holding you up in prayer as you take this important step. We believe in your strength and your desire to honor God with your body. Let's remember that Philippians 4:13 tells us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

We'll be praying that God fills you with His divine power, helping you to overcome this addiction. We ask that He replaces the cravings with a hunger for Him, and that He surrounds you with supportive friends and uplifting activities. Let's trust in His timing and His plan for your life.

Remember, it's okay to ask for help. We're all in this together, and God has given us a community to lean on. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, knowing that He is faithful and will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
