Help With Stepmother

I came home from work early and my stepmom who is sick was home and her boyfriend is here and they are in bed together. I am not comfortable with him here and I can't voice my concerns about it. My stepmom used to be a good Christian and now it seems like she's changed. I do not have any place I can stay and I can't afford a hotel. I don't know what to do anymore.

We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you're facing with your stepmother, Osvelis. Let's first turn to the Scriptures to guide our response. In Ephesians 5:3 WEB, it is written, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints." It's clear that the behavior you're witnessing is not in line with God's will.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Osvelis and their stepmother. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. We pray that You would convict the hearts of those involved in any immoral behavior and draw them closer to You. Provide Osvelis with the words to lovingly express their concerns, and give them the strength and wisdom to handle this situation in a way that honors You. We also ask that You provide a safe and comfortable place for Osvelis to stay while this is being resolved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Osvelis, it's important to remember that God's word calls us to lovingly confront sin. In Galatians 6:1 WEB, it says, "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness." We encourage you to find a quiet moment to express your concerns to your stepmother, not in judgment, but in love. Remind her of her Christian faith and the importance of living a life that pleases God.

Moreover, it's crucial to seek God's will in all situations. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, it's written, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Trust that God will provide a way out of this difficult situation.

Lastly, Osvelis, if you haven't already, we encourage you to build a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you need further guidance on this, please feel free to ask.
