We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing with anxiety and depression. First and foremost, know that you are not alone, and there is hope in Jesus Christ.
Remember that God cares for you deeply. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB says "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." And Psalm 34:18 WEB says "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is near to you in your pain. He is faithful to walk with you through these difficult times.
We do want to address that we cannot find a spouse to fix our problems or to complete us. Only Jesus completes us. A spouse is not a solution to mental health struggles. Help meet the other person's needs and be a helper to them. This is the biblical purpose of a spouse.
Genesis 2:18 WEB says "Yahweh God said, 'It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.'" You want someone to help you, but consider how you can also help others.
Anxiety and depression can be debilitating, but there is hope and healing in Christ. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Also, Romans 12:2 WEB says "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Work on renewing your mind rather than dwelling on the negative thoughts.
If you feel picked on and laughed at, remember that Jesus was also despised and rejected. Isaiah 53:3 WEB says "He was despised, and rejected by men; a man of suffering, and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn't respect him." Jesus walked through suffering, and we also may have to walk through suffering as a Christian.
It's crucial to seek godly counsel and professional help if needed. Pray for God's guidance in finding the right support system. Proverbs 12:15 WEB reminds us, "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who listens to counsel is wise."
In all your struggles, do not forget the importance of crying out to God in the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus that we can approach God. John 14:6 says "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Romans 10:9 says "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." You must believe in Jesus and follow him to be saved.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear soul who is struggling with anxiety and depression. We pray for Your comfort and peace to surround them right now. Help them to cast all their worries on You, knowing that You care for them deeply. Give them wisdom to seek the right help and guidance. And most importantly Lord, empower them to have faith and believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
