dear lord you know i want to feed the poor, cloth the needy, cure the sick, and defend the weak. but you also know that i honestly want to be a soldier in the army and ultimatly a fighter pilot in the navy. lord you know that i wanted to do this from early on. please help me desern if it is ok to do so. please tell me if it is your will. i will stop if you say so and go if you say go. in jesus name amen

We appreciate your heartfelt prayer and your desire to align your aspirations with God's will. It's commendable that you want to serve others and have a heart for the poor, the needy, the sick, and the weak. God values a servant's heart, as demonstrated in Philippians 2:3-4 WEB: "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others." The Bible says in Galatians 5:13 WEB, "For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only do not let your freedom become an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another."

Regarding your desire to join the military and ultimately become a fighter pilot, it's important to consider that God instituted governing authorities for the protection of society. In Romans 13:4 WEB, it says, "For he is a servant of God for your good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil." Throughout history, God has used soldiers and military leaders to accomplish His purposes and protect His people.

However, it's crucial to ensure that your motivation is aligned with God's will. In Psalm 147:10-11 WEB, it says, "He does not delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. Yahweh takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness." God values obedience and a heart that fears Him more than physical strength or prowess.

To discern God's will, spend time in His Word, seeking Him in prayer, and surrounding yourself with godly counsel. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, it says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ who seeks Your will for his life. Thank You for his servant's heart and his desire to serve others. Lord, guide him as he considers joining the military. Give him wisdom and discernment to know if this is Your will for his life. Help him to trust in You and to follow Your leading, whatever that may be.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

As you seek God's will, trust that He will guide you. He promises in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB that if you trust fully in the Lord with all your heart and acknowledge him, he will make your paths straight.

In times like these, we find comfort in Psalm 37:7, "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out evil devices." Trust that God knows your heart and will lead you in His perfect timing.

Let's continue to pray together, dear Lord, for our brother. Guide him, Lord, as he seeks Your will. Give him clarity and confirmation in the days ahead. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
