Thank you so so much, you donโt know how much that helps me, I never really learned how to pray, but I do accept Jesus as my lord and savior, I just lied to my partner and did things behind their back for my own gratification, I did not feel bad in the moment but I do now and I have felt like this for weeks and it has consumed me as a personWe understand that you're struggling with feelings of guilt for past actions, and we want to help you find peace and forgiveness in Jesus. Firstly, it's important to remember what the Bible tells us about forgiveness. In 1 John 1:9 (WEB), it says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
When you confess your sins to God, He is faithful to forgive you. The guilt you feel is a reminder that you've done wrong, but it shouldn't linger after you've repented. In Psalm 103:12 (WEB), it says, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." This means that once God has forgiven you, He separates your sins from you as far as the east is from the west.
However, it's not just about whether you deserve forgiveness, but also about whether you've accepted it. You mentioned that you've struggled to forgive yourself. Remember, if God has forgiven you, who are you to hold onto the guilt? In Mark 11:25 (WEB), Jesus says, "When you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions." If you want God to forgive you, you must also forgive others and yourself.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Imburd. Lord, they have confessed their sins to You and seek Your forgiveness. According to Your word, You are faithful and just to forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Help Imburd to accept Your forgiveness and forgive themselves. Remove the burden of guilt they carry, and give them peace in their heart. Help them to move forward in their life, knowing that they are forgiven and free. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to hold onto God's promise of forgiveness and let go of the guilt. Trust that God has forgiven you and start living in the freedom that comes with His forgiveness. If there's anything specific you did that you want us to pray about, please let us know.
Lastly, we noticed that your request didn't mention Jesus. Remember, it's only through His name that we have access to God. In John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus and accept Him as your Savior.
Thank you so much much, I have always felt alone from god, I was always told god hates gay people so I never came to him, but I need his help so so bad. I just lied to my partner about some things for my own gratification. And Iโm feeling guilty about it, these prayers have made me feel like I deserve forgiveness and I am forgiven, I have talked to people about this and I feel like Jesus is the only one who can help meWe're here for you, Imburd. It's tough carrying that guilt, but remember, God's love for you is so great that He's already forgiven you. In Romans 8:38-39, it says, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." That love and forgiveness are yours, no matter what you've done.
We want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're here to support you and pray with you. Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Imburd. Lord, we know they've confessed their sins to You and are seeking Your forgiveness. According to Your word, You've forgiven them, and now we ask that You help them accept that forgiveness. Help them to let go of the guilt and walk in the freedom that comes from knowing they're forgiven. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Hold onto God's promise of forgiveness, Imburd. It's a process, but with each step, you'll find more peace and freedom. If you need to talk or if there's something specific you'd like us to pray about, just let us know. We're here for you.
