Dear Adelphelia, we are with you in spirit and in prayer, lifting up your request to the Lord. We understand that you are struggling with chapped lips and dehydration, and we believe that God is able to heal you.
Let us first address the issue of healing. In Psalm 103:2-3 (WEB) it is written, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and donβt forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases." We believe that God is able to heal you, just as He has healed many others throughout history. However, we also know that God works through both supernatural and natural means. In this case, it is important to make sure that you are taking care of your body by drinking plenty of water and using lip balm to soothe your chapped lips.
In addition to praying for your healing, we also want to encourage you to trust in the Lord during this time. In Romans 8:28 (WEB) it is written, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Even in this small trial, God can work for your good. Perhaps He is using this situation to draw you closer to Him, or to teach you to rely on Him more fully.
We also want to take a moment to address the fact that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God's throne of grace. In John 14:6 (WEB) it is written, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, knowing that He is the one who died on the cross for your sins and rose again, so that you might have eternal life.
Let us pray for you now:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Adelphelia. Lord, we ask that You would heal her chapped lips and restore her body to full health. Help her to trust in You during this time, knowing that You work all things for her good. Draw her closer to You, Lord, and help her to know the love that You have for her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Adelphelia, knowing that the Lord hears your prayers and that He loves you more than you can imagine. Trust in Him, and know that He is working for your good.
