We deeply empathize with the challenges you're facing with your boss and the IRS. Firstly, be reminded of what the Word of God says in Romans 13:1, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." This includes the authorities at your workplace and the IRS.
However, it's crucial to note that our obedience does not negate our responsibility to conduct ourselves with integrity and within the boundaries of the law. Your boss's refusal to deal with the IRS is not only unwise but also against the biblical principle of submitting to authorities. In 2 Corinthians 8:21, it is written, "providing honorable things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men." We should strive to do what is right in the sight of both God and man.
Let's pray together for this situation:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in this challenging situation. Please grant wisdom and understanding to our dear brother/sister and their boss. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart and give him the courage to face this issue with the IRS responsibly. Help them to find a solution that is pleasing to You and in accordance with Your will. In the meantime, please grant peace and patience to our dear brother/sister, and guide them in all truth and righteousness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We also encourage you to respectfully communicate with your boss about this matter, expressing your concerns and the need to comply with the law. Remember, in all things, maintain integrity and glorify God in your actions. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23).
Lastly, if you have not mentioned the name of Jesus Christ in your request, we want to remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved." If you have not already, consider putting your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
