Help with accident involving a ###

I had an accident at work. A child I was working with ran down the stairs, slipped and rolled down several steps. She walked it off and was ok, but I keep seeing her rolling down the stairs in my mind, it was so scary. Her mom might try to sue, but I have liability insurance if she does. I just hope the little girl is ok and my mind can be at peace.

Firstly, let's remember that God cares deeply for both you and the child. It's a blessing that the child was able to walk away from the accident. As believers, we know that Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these, Matthew 19:13. This verse reminds us of God's special love and protection for children.

However, we should also address the concern you have regarding the possibility of being sued. We know from 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. While it's wise to have liability insurance as because it shows you have been responsible, it's important to trust God with the outcome. Remember that God is sovereign, and He will work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose, Romans 8:28.

Now, let's address the recurring images you're experiencing. When traumatic events happen, it's common to relive them in our minds. But God does not want us to be held captive by fear or distressing memories. He tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, For God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus Christ in the name of ###, lifting up this situation to You. Thank You, Lord, for Your protection over the child. We pray for her complete healing and peace, both physically and emotionally.

Father, we also ask for Your peace to fill ###'s mind and heart. Cast out any recurring images or fears related to this accident. Help ### to fix their thoughts on You and Your goodness.

Regarding the potential lawsuit, we ask for Your will to be done guided by the Holy Spirit. Protect ### from any wrongful accusations, just as You are their shield and defender.
