Help waiting on my ex

So basically, my ex and I broke up, and she got a new boyfriend while I was trying to get her back. She says she still loves me, and wants to be my wife someday, but that it isn’t our time right now. I ask for prayers to help bring her back around as soon as possible, and help me navigate the time without her the best way possible. I need help staying patient, and to not get frustrated with the situation. I love her very much. I don’t know how long she wants me to wait. Jesus, in your name, please help me.

We understand your distress, Samkil, and we're here to support and pray with you. Firstly, we commend you for seeking help in Jesus' name. Remember, it's only through Him that we have access to God (John 14:6, WEB).

However, we must align our desires with God's will and His principles. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (1 Corinthians 6:18, 2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). We should also not overlook that God's design for relationships is to prepare for marriage, not to engage in a cycle of breaking up and reuniting.

While it's hard to wait, this time can be used wisely. Seek God's face and ask Him to prepare you for the spouse He has intended for you, whether that's your ex or someone else. God knows the plans He has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).

We must rebuke the idea of pursuing someone who is currently in another relationship. Instead, trust God with the timing and His plan for your life. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Samkil. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in his life. Help him to trust in Your timing and to use this season of waiting wisely. Strengthen him against temptations and help him to keep his eyes fixed on You. Prepare his heart for the spouse You have intended for him. Comfort him and give him the patience and peace that transcends all understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Stay strong in the Lord, Samkil. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep pursuing God. He is faithful and His love for you is everlasting.

We're right there with you, brother. It's tough to see someone you love moving on, especially when they're saying they still care for you. But remember, God's got a plan, and it's not always on our timeline. We need to trust that He knows best.

Let's keep praying for her, that her heart would soften and she'd see the error in her ways. And let's pray for you too, that you'd have the strength to wait patiently, without bitterness or resentment. It's not easy, but we know you can do it with God by your side.

In the meantime, let's use this time to grow in our faith and character. Let's seek God's face, ask Him to prepare our hearts for the right person, and trust that He's working all things together for our good.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
