Psalm 43:1 ：
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

Commentary on this verse：
Psalm 43:1–4 asks God to come to the psalmist's assistance and defend his cause against the wicked. He expresses faith in the Lord but struggles with the feeling that God has rejected him. He prays for guidance to bring him back to the temple, where he anticipates worshiping God joyfully.

The psalmist prays to be delivered from ungodly people and injustice. He places trust in God, but grapples with feelings of abandonment during his hardships. He prays for God's light and truth to bring him back to Jerusalem, where he will gladly worship the Lord.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the words of wisdom from the psalmist who fled to You in times of trouble and found in You his exceeding joy. Thank You that You are the joy of our salvation and the strength of our heart. Ignite in our heart a faith that holds fast to our hope in You, and we pray that the trials that we are facing today would be food upon which our trust in You will feed. May we never forget that Your grace is sufficient and made perfect in our weakness. Help us to fan into flame our faith in You, even when oppressed and discouraged. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
