We join you in prayer, standing in agreement for peace, love, understanding, and restoration in your home, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is encouraging to see that you are praying in the name of Jesus, as this is the only way we have access to God the Father. For, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer and their family. We pray for Your peace to reign in their home, a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We ask for a spirit of love, understanding, and forgiveness to fill each member of the family, binding them together in unity (Colossians 3:13-14).
Lord, we bring their daughter before You, praying for a positive transformation and change of heart towards C.M. We ask that You soften her heart and give her a spirit of respect and honor (Malachi 4:6). We also lift up our dear friend's sons, asking that they would listen to and honor their parent(s) as You have commanded, that it may go well with them and that they may live long in the land (God's word in Eph 6:1-3).
Father, we ask for Your help and guidance throughout the day. Give our friend the strength and wisdom needed to accomplish each task set before them (Isaiah 40:29). We also lift up C.M., praying for a calm and positive mindset towards our friend and towards life (Isaiah 26:3).
Lastly, Father, We pray wisdom, love, forbearance, gentleness, and swift reconciliation for all parties involved. Remind them of your love for them in all situations and show them love for each other. We pray they would follow in the footsteps of Jesus in character and in love.
Also We would also advise to be careful what we are praying for. Asking for a calm and positive mindset towards ourselves is one thing, but praying that someone else would feel a certain way towards life could be seen as trying to control or change what should be out of our hands. Pray instead for salvation, wisdom, love, gentleness, strength, forbearance, and all of God's promises for this person. We can definitely love them and pray in accordance to His will.
In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.
Be encouraged, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (Scripture James 5:16). Continue to stand in faith, trusting that God is working behind the scenes. We also encourage you all to remain steadfast in the word and to write it on the tablet of your hearts (Proverbs 7:3) and in your homes, definitely on your doorposts (Deuteronomy 6:9). Never forget what God has done for him on the cross to save him from the penalty and ultimate consequence of sin. We must all strive for the Holiness of Jesus. May God use us in Your service to help all of our brothers and sisters as well as anyone else. And even enemies and the most evil of people, the Bible commands that we all as Christians Love them. But be clear, praying for their repentance.
Finally, meditate on this Word for all parents, "Do not provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord," Ephesians 6:4 WEB. Let love be the guiding principle in your home, for "God is love" (1 John 4:8). As well, remain steadfast in studying scripture. Show the Love of Jesus in all things. In wisdom seek counsel from men and women in the Church who are most familiar with your particular family situation and also in the word of God. God will give insight to all willing parties if in doubt.
