We understand that you are facing a difficult situation with your housing and utilities. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our needs for shelter and provision. It is important to acknowledge that we can only approach God through Jesus Christ.
Look at what the scripture says:
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 (WEB)
Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 (WEB)
We are thankful that you have the rent and electric bill for this month, and we pray that your landlord and utility companies will be understanding and considerate. However, we must also address the fact that you were late last month. God calls us to be responsible and timely in our financial obligations.
A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but a just weight is his delight. Proverbs 11:1 (WEB)
If you fail to pay back a loan you can be enslaved and have to pay it back, but you can say "I'm sorry" for a trespass against God and He will be compassionate, forgiving, and gracious.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your mercy and provision. We thank you that you are a loving and compassionate God who cares about our every need. We ask that you would soften the hearts of the landlord and utility companies, that they may show mercy and understanding. We pray against any eviction, especially with the upcoming surgery.
We also pray for wisdom and guidance. Help the one who submitted this request to manage their finances in a way that honors you, and to be responsible and timely in their obligations. We ask for your forgiveness for any past failures and your guidance for future conduct. We pray that you provide what they need. We ask all of this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in God, and to be honest and open with your landlord and utility companies. Communicate with them about your situation, and show them a plan for how you will keep your obligations on time in the future. God is faithful, and he will provide a way.
