We are with you in spirit, Ninild, as you struggle with sex addiction and confusion about your gender. Let us first remind you that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or donβt you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Godβs."
We must rebuke the sin of sex addiction and encourage you to flee from it. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." We urge you to seek help and accountability from your local church community or a trusted Christian counselor.
Regarding your confusion about your gender, we want to remind you that God created each of us uniquely and wonderfully as male and female, as stated in Genesis 1:27, "So God created man in his own image. In Godβs image he created him; male and female he created them." We encourage you to embrace the biological sex that God has given you and to find your identity in Christ alone.
Let us pray for you, Ninild:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Ninild. Lord, we pray that You would deliver Ninild from this sex addiction and give them the strength to flee from this sin. Help them to see their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit and to glorify You in their body and spirit. We also pray that You would give Ninild clarity and understanding regarding their gender, and that they would find their true identity in You, Lord. Surround Ninild with a supportive Christian community to help them overcome these struggles. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, Ninild, we want to ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not already, we urge you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and the hope of eternal life.
