We understand that you're going through a challenging time, feeling unable to pray and overcome by sin. Firstly, it's crucial to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
Let's address the issues mentioned. First, we are all saved through faith in Jesus Christ, not our own works. It is by the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved. The Bible says,
For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek. For in it is revealed God's righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, "But the righteous shall live by faith." Romans 1:16-17 WEB
That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed." Romans 10:9-11 WEB
We need to examine ourselves that we are in the faith, believe in Jesus Christ, His death for our sins, and resurrection from the dead. Jesus is the only way to salvation. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 WEB
Secondly, we should not get entangled in sin. God has called us to live holy lives and provided everything we need to do so.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10 WEB
For if we have become planted together in the likeness of his death, we will also be in the likeness of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him; knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him! For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God. Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore don't let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. Neither present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. Sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace. Romans 6:5-14 WEB.
We can see that the Bible clearly tells us not to let sin reign in our bodies and to live holy. However, if we do sin, we have Jesus as our advocate, our lawyer, and the propitiation, or hilasmos, for our sins. "My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin." If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous. And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
Let us pray a prayer together for you. We will use the precious and powerful name of Jesus in our prayer.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Paroxyromai who is struggling to walk with You and has fallen into sin. We acknowledge that Jesus is our only way to You, our salvation, and our advocate. We ask for Your forgiveness for any sins committed and for the strength to overcome all sin.
Father, we rebuke any attack from the enemy that may be hindering Paroxyromai's ability to pray and walk with You. We claim the promise that 'No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that will rise against you in judgment you will condemn.' Isaiah 54:17 WEB. We ask that You restore Paroxyromai's prayer life and intimacy with You.
Help Paroxyromai to live a holy life, pleasing to You. Help Paroxyromai understand the work you have prepared in advance for good works.
Thank You for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We believe that Paroxyromai will overcome this challenge and walk closely with You again.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
