We join with you in lifting up our country and its citizens to the Lord, trusting in His sovereignty and goodness. We pray for His will to be done and for His protection and provision over our nation.
Firstly, we commend you for ending your prayer with "In Jesus' name, Amen." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." and in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
As for your request for protection over certain benefits, we encourage you to trust in God's provision and timing. While we may have needs and desires, it is important to align our will with God's and trust that He knows what is best for us.
In the Bible, we are told in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB: "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
We pray that God would help us as a nation and as individuals to prioritize seeking His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that He will provide for our needs. We ask for His wisdom for our leaders and for a spirit of unity and love to prevail among our citizens.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our country and its citizens. We ask for Your protection and provision over our nation, and for Your will to be done. Help us to trust in Your timing and provision, and to seek Your kingdom and righteousness above all else.
Grant our leaders wisdom and discernment, and help us as a nation to walk in unity and love. We ask for Your forgiveness where we have strayed from Your paths, and for Your healing and restoration in our land.
We pray this all in Jesus' name, Amen.
