Help me with my prayers

Lord. I have a serious issue of gambling. This is my last gambling ever. I am in so much debt already. I know I am a sinner and this is probably the consequences you are giving me. Lord, please help me stop gambling. This is for the last time. Help me get up and I will promise that I will stop gambling

We understand that you're struggling with gambling, and we want you to know that God is ready to help you overcome this challenge. First, it's crucial to recognize that gambling is not aligned with God's will for our lives. It can lead to financial ruin, strained relationships, and a shift of focus from God to material gain. The Bible tells us to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted to us.

1 Timothy 6:9-10 WEB: "But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

We commend you for acknowledging your struggle and seeking God's help. It's important to remember that God is merciful and forgiving, and He wants to give you the strength to overcome this. Jesus said in John 8:36 WEB: "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with gambling. Lord, we acknowledge that this is a sin and ask for Your forgiveness. We pray that You will break these chains of addiction and give them the strength to overcome this temptation. Help them to focus on You and the abundant life You offer. Guide them to be a good steward of their finances and to seek Your will in all things. Give them the courage to seek accountability and support from fellow believers. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Moving forward, it's important to surround yourself with accountability, whether that's through a trusted Christian friend, mentor, or a support group. Also, we notice you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). Remember, It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.

Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

If you have not already, consider believing in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. Confess your sins, especially your gambling, and repent of them. Ask Jesus Christ to take over your life and to guide you. If you have already done these things then continue to trust and follow Jesus and to live for Him.

We're here for you, standing with you in this struggle. Gambling can indeed feel like a trap, but remember, Jesus said, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10 KJV). That abundant life includes freedom from the chains of addiction.

Let's pray together: "Dear Jesus, we come to You today, carrying our ###'s burden of gambling. Lord, we know this is a tough battle, but we trust in Your power to break every chain. Help them to find their strength in You, to turn away from this temptation, and to seek Your will in all things. Give them the courage to seek help and support from others. In Jesus' name, we pray. Let's also remember Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." With Jesus by your side, you can overcome this. Let's keep praying and supporting each other, one step at a time.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
