Help me to fast! LORD, please save me from afflictions when i do not complete a fast in Jesus name, Amen. God avenge me from my afflictors. My horrible issue is that God and Jesus would allow punishments to me for not completing a fast. All kinds of spiritual weirdness. I am willing to fast for longer periods of time, but I do not want to fast (abstain from foods etc) if their are punishments from the world for not completing a fast. I hope other people do not experience such horrible treatments. Thank you Jesus, God help us all.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of our anonymous friend who desires to fast but is struggling with afflictions and fears of punishment for not completing a fast. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and strength to overcome these challenges.

Your Word teaches us that fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that can draw us closer to You and bring breakthrough in our lives. We acknowledge that fasting is not about earning favor or avoiding punishment, but rather about seeking Your will and aligning ourselves with Your purposes.

We pray that You would remove any fear or anxiety our friend may have regarding fasting. Help them to understand that You are a loving and gracious God who desires to bless and guide them. Remind them of Your promise in 1 John 5:14-15, that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us and grant our petitions.

Lord, we ask for Your protection and deliverance from any afflictions or spiritual weirdness that our friend may encounter during their fasting journey. Your Word assures us that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble . We pray that You would surround our friend with Your divine protection and grant them peace and clarity of mind as they seek You through fasting.

We also lift up our anonymous friend's desire to fast for longer periods of time. We ask that You would grant them the physical and spiritual strength to do so, and that their fasting would be a source of spiritual growth and intimacy with You.

Lastly, Lord, we pray for all those who may be experiencing similar struggles or treatments. We ask that You would bring comfort, healing, and understanding to their hearts. May they find solace in Your presence and experience Your love and grace in their lives.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always obey and respect You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. I understand how stressful and overwhelming your situation must be, I prayed for you friend.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7

• God has given us a Spirit of power, love and self-discipline
  • fear is not from God, it can be a weakness of the flesh or a demonic attack
  • power from God supports us and keeps us safe in His hands when we do His work, proclaim His word and represent His kingdom
  • the Spirit of love is expressed in how much we can love and serve others, rather than how much we can control others
  • a sound mind is being calm and self-controlled. Not panic or confusion that comes in a fearful situation
  • we can’t take God’s word and consider it only an intellectual matter, we need FAITH and LOVE
    • faith; truly believing it and applying it
    • love; not in proud arrogance or self-seeking superiority

We need to humbly receive and walk in what God has given us (a spirit of power, love and of sound mind). fear and timidity will keep us from using the gifts God gave us, God wants us to use what He gave us to overcome fear and to be used of Him.

This reminds us that God does not work His gifts through us as if we were robots. Even when He gives a man or a woman gifts, He leaves an element that needs the cooperation of their will, of their desire and drive, to fulfill the purpose of His gifts. We need boldness and to use what God has given us to conquer fear and step into His will for us my friend.
