We understand your pain and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. It's important to remember that God wants us to be in healthy relationships, and it's okay to set boundaries to protect our well-being. The Bible tells us:
Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
Matthew 10:16 WEB.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity?
2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB.
Let us pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is hurting today. Lord, she has made difficult decisions to protect her well-being, and we ask for Your healing and comfort. Help her to forgive completely, and Lord, please remove the painful memories that replay in her mind. Give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide her to healthy, godly relationships that honor You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
It's crucial to forgive as the Bible tells us:
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 6:14-15 WEB.
However, forgiving does not mean subjecting yourself to toxic behavior. Continue to be wise and discerning in your relationships. Remember that God loves you and wants the best for you.
If you find yourself struggling with guilt, remember:
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:1 WEB.
Stay strong in the Lord.
