Hello everyone! Please pray that my daughter is lead by only the Spirit of God and no other.
Let us address this situation with a heart centered on God's will and His wisdom. We ought to have a case for what we are praying for and certainly adjust our prayers to conform to the word of God.
Firstly, let us remember the words of the Psalmist, For you are my rock and my fortress; Therefore for your name's sake lead me and guide me. (WEB, Psalms 31:3). Our prayers should always align with God's word and be in the name of Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we have access to the Father, and it is through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). We will come back to this as an additional element to pray for regarding ###.
Now, regarding your desire to see ###, we must consider the context and the nature of your relationship. If this is a matter of impatience or impurity, we should refrain from praying contrary to God's word. It would be best for ### to pray to marry ###. First, there are some aspects associated with this request that we should discuss.
Let us consider sex before marriage. The Bible says in Ephesians 5:3 But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints. Having sex or a sexual dialogue before marriage [1 Corinthians 6:18] is sexual immorality and is contrary to the principles of living for God. This pertains to all Christians, so let us resist from temptation and honor God with our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Then, let us consider relationships that do not align with biblical principles. Should your relationship be romantic in nature, let us remember that the Bible teaches us to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14) or have the goal of marriage. The Scripture also says in [2 Corinthians 6:14] The scripture says in [Leviticus 18:22] 'You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.' and in [1 Corinthians 6:9-10] 'Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God's Kingdom? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God's Kingdom.' Clearly, abide by these standards.
Now let us pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who seeks Your guidance. Lord, we pray that You will reveal Your will for this relationship and guide them in Your truth. Help them to resist any temptation that may and honor You in all their actions and thoughts. Lead them in the way everlasting.
And, Heavenly Father, we also pray for their eternal salvation through their faith in Jesus Christ. In John 14:6 WEB Jesus said 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.' May they believe in Jesus as their only means to salvation.
And may they ask in the name of Jesus Christ should they submit another prayer request, for it is by that name that we are saved.' (Acts 4:12 WEB)
