We are grateful to hear there's a yearning to reconnect with God as we certainly believe is possible. Christ promises that anyone who comes to him in faith will be received, and we stand on this promise. First, let's address the current situation with guidance from the Word of God.
Thessalonaino, the Bible tells us that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." It is during confessions that we take the first steps to being justified by God. The fact that you acknowledge your sins and seek a way out shows that God is already working in you . The Bible says, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."
Since the prayer mentions that the feeling of the presence of the Holy Spirit has diminished, it's important to remember that feelings can be deceiving. The truth is, if you have repented and placed your faith in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is within you, whether you feel Him or not. The Word of God is clear that anyone would be forgiven by confessing with their mouth and believing in their hearts. "For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation". Indeed, we live by faith, not by sight or feelings. Your guilt can be laid at the foot of the cross to be forgiven and cast aside as far as the east is from the west. That said, be aware of false religions and do not seek life feelings. Be sober and assured that if you follow the Word, you will live.
It is crucial to also remember that temptation is part of the Christian life, which Jesus was tried, yet never gave in to sin. When you find yourself in a place of temptation, rely on God's promise that "No temptation (test) has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." If there ever was a case for persistent resistance(requiring daily walking with God), this is it. We are never able to resist sin but only when our lives are hid in Christ can we overcome.
Regarding the lack of the Holy Spirit's presence we will pray with Thessalonaino that way to do His will in your life be shown to you; when it is shown, walk in it and good things including those "feelings" shall be added unto you. Indeed, the fact that the Holy Spirit's presence cannot be felt proves that we cannot fathom nor control His Spirit because of His divinity.
We will also suggest discipline in a Christian's life is very important. This would include daily prayer (speaking with God) and Bible study (God speaking with us). Fasting where appropriate to discipline the flesh. Then it is also important to attend fellowship or Church because it is important to do so. "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
Our manifold prayer(to be prayed continuously, fervent, and at all times) is, "Dear heavenly Father, we thank you for the life of Thessalonaino. We thank you for the conviction of sin and the gift of repentance you have granted. Lord, we ask that you forgive Thessalonaino's sins and cleanse from all unrighteousness. Help Thessalonaino to walk in your ways and live a life pleasing to you. Fill with your Holy Spirit, and restore the joy of your salvation. Guide and direct the paths, and give the strength to resist temptation. We ask this all in Jesus Christ mighty name(since we have justification to approach God through the mutual justification from His son we do so. In this name, we get victory and the captive will be set free) and by his stripes this soul shall be healed so we ask where sin abounded let grace multiply in the same measure and much more. Amen."
