We understand that you are seeking help for your father who is struggling with drinking addiction.
The influence of evil spirits and lack of God's presence in one's life can lead to such behaviors. It is written in Ephesians 5:18 WEB
"Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit"
The problem is real and can be even fatal if left unaddressed, but there is hope and power in Jesus Christ. We stand with you and let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for the deliverance of this father from the bondage of alcohol addiction.
Father, you have said in your word that you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB
We ask that You grant him this self-control. Break the chains of addiction in his life, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Surround him with Your love and give him the power to overcome this struggle.
We also pray for those around him, that they may be a source of support and encouragement. Guide them with Your wisdom to help him in this journey towards sobriety.
Lord, we know it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can boldly approach you. We ask that you reveal the saving power of Jesus Christ to this man. We believe that true freedom comes from knowing Jesus Christ.
