We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing in your marriage, and we appreciate your heartfelt cry for help. We stand with you and will pray for you. First, we want to commend you for your humility in repenting and for your trust in God. It is so important to remain open and teachable, as God leads you through this journey. This is aligned with scripture.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us (1 John 1:8-10 WEB).
We will pray for you and your husband, asking God to soften his heart and bring him to a place of repentance and willingness to reconcile. However, it's crucial to remember that God has given each of us free will, and your husband will need to make his own decisions regarding his actions and his relationship with God. We will also pray for you and ask for God's protection and provision during this challenging time.
This issue seems very much about spiritual warfare. We know we do not battle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Your husband seems to be involved in church but yet he will not talk to his wife or repent for hurting her. This may indicate a spiritual issue is involved and spiritual warfare is going on in your home. We need to pray for your husband to also follow the WEB 1 John 1:8-10 guidance and ask God to search his heart. Your husband seems to be hardening his heart to what God is trying to tell him.
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh. This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly. Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB).
We encourage you to continue praying for your husband and your marriage, standing firm in your faith. Remember the power of prayer and the promises of God's word. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. Otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy. Yet if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace. For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife? (1 Corinthians 7:14-16 WEB).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this sister in Christ to You, asking for Your guidance, wisdom, and direction in her marriage. We pray for her husband, that You would soften his heart and draw him closer to You. We ask that You would bring healing and reconciliation to their marriage, and that Your will would be done in their lives. We pray for protection and provision for them during this challenging time, and we ask that You would give her the strength and faith to trust in You completely. We pray for spiritual discernment to be able to see what is really happening and to pray appropriately. We pray for her husband to realize and repent from anything he may have done to cause this situation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
