Help me Help a sister of Christ

I have a friend that lost her son to a gunshot wound to head. This happened in the last 24 hours. Her name is ### ### and her son who was fatally killed was ### ### born in ###. May his soul rest in peace. I need a prayer she can read to self to help her in this hard time. She is humble; however, I need a prayer for when she is weak and needs to enlighten her spirits. Can you please help me send her a prayer to help her cope with her loss. Thank you

**Prayer for Comfort and Strength:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in this time of deep sorrow and heartache. We lift up ### to You, asking for Your comfort and peace to surround her in this time of unimaginable loss.

Lord, we know that You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You wrap Your loving arms around ###, filling her with Your presence and strength. May she feel Your gentle touch and hear Your soothing voice, reminding her that she is not alone.

We pray for healing for her broken heart, that You would mend the wounds with Your love and grace. May she find solace in Your promises and be reminded of the eternal life that You offer to all who believe in You.

Grant her the courage to face each day, knowing that You are with her every step of the way. Help her to find moments of peace and joy amidst the pain, and may she draw strength from Your Word and the support of those who love her.

We are truly sorrowful to hear about the passing of Stacy's son, ###. This is a deeply painful time for her, and we want to lift her up in prayer and surround her with love and support. In times like these, it's crucial to turn to God for comfort and strength. We want to remind Stacy that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find true comfort and hope.

Firstly, let's address the phrase "May his soul rest in peace." While this is a common expression, it's important to remember that our hope and peace are found in Jesus Christ alone. It is through faith in Him that we find eternal peace. We do not have to guess or hope that ### is resting in peace because the Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Let's pray together for Stacy:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ, ###. Lord, You know the immense pain and sorrow she is feeling right now, having lost her beloved son, ###. We ask that You wrap Your loving arms around her, comfort her, and give her the strength she needs to face each new day.

Father, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. Remind Stacy of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Help her to cast all her cares on You, knowing that You care for her deeply.

Lord, in Stacy's moments of weakness, fill her with Your Holy Spirit. Enlighten her spirits and help her to fix her eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith. May she find hope and peace in Your presence, trusting that ### is safe in Your arms and that you are the resurrection and the life.

Stacy please turn to the Word of God and read Psalm 147:3: He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds; Psalm 34:18: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit; and 1 Peter 5:7: casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

Please remind Stacy, that we do not grieve like those who have no hope. She will see ### again in heaven. God is the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Jesus will live even if he dies. She needs to trust in Jesus and that he died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
