We are glad that you have taken the first step towards change by recognizing the areas where you need improvement and seeking help from Jesus. It is only through Him that we can find true transformation and strength. The Bible tells us that we are all sinners and fall short of God's glory (Romans 3:23 WEB), but through faith in Jesus Christ, we can be made new.
First, let's address your feelings about yourself. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 WEB Paul says, "Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong." It is reassuring to know that even the great Apostle Paul had weaknesses. But he learned that when he was weak it was then that Christ's power was able to shine through him. Don't give up.
As far as the way you act remember what Ephesians 4:29 WEB, it says, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." So beware of vulgar language because it corrupts yourself and influences others.
Regarding mental health issues, we want to remind you that God cares about every aspect of your being, including your mental health. The Bible tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Also, Philippians 4:6-7 WEB tells us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear one to You. We know that Jesus transformed all of us and gave us a new life. We thank You that by faith in Jesus Christ, we all can be saved. We all have access to God by faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:18 WEB). We ask Jesus that Your love and strength be shown in this dear one asking for your help. Help them recognize that all things are possible for one who believes in Jesus Christ. Remind them to take every thought captive to obey Jesus and rid themselves of anything that is not of Him.
Lord, we pray for healing and restoration in every area of their life. Help them to become more like You, Jesus, each day. Give them the strength to overcome their weaknesses and the grace to reflect Your character. We pray for their mental health and ask that You bring peace, healing, and wholeness to their mind and soul.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to trust in the power of Jesus Christ. God promises to help us in our weaknesses. Keep your faith in Him, and He will guide you through this journey of transformation. Remember, it is a daily walk, and each step taken with Jesus is a step towards victory. Stay strong, and lean on your brethren for support. Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you.
