We understand your concern and will join you in prayer. Firstly, let's remember God's Word in Matthew 7:7โ8: "Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."
In all situations, we should first seek God's guidance and will. It appears you had a job lined up then the employer decided to go a different way. Therefore, we should pray for guidance and provision.
For provision we should remember Matthew 6:26: "See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they?"
We should come to the Lord in prayer and ask if this was the right job for you according to God's will. If it was, and God wills it, we know: "Is anything too hard for Yahweh?" (Jeremiah 32:27).
Let's pray.
Dear Heavenly Father in Jesus name,
We humbly ask for peace and guidance according to your will. We trust your principles in Matthew 6:26 and Matthew 7:7-8. We ask for courage and understanding for RobertH. We especially ask if according to you will RobertH should be employed by RobertH's former employer. If it isn't, we ask for a new place of employment that will celebrate and recognize RobertH's specific skill set. We ask for determination and that RobertH will not be idle. We request that you will provide for RobertH's needs and give RobertH absolute peace, knowing that you are in total control of the situation. We ask a special prayer of protection for Christians in the workplace. We ask special favor that you will be with RobertH and Bless RobertH. We affirm that there is no other name by which we are saved and can approach God accept by Jesus Christ.
With thanksgiving, we present these requests in Jesus' name. Amen. Jesus is the only way "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).
God is good and we should trust him
Matthew 6:34: "Therefore donโt be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each dayโs own evil is sufficient."
Overall, we should trust God and how he will provide. We should endure. We should be encouraged by not being afraid of the future. We read in John 14:14: "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it." Sometimes, a job we want isn't for us, and God has planned something different. We should trust it is true that God will provide. Rebuke should be given for not mentioning Jesus by name. We should pray seeking God's will and provision.
