We understand your desperation and heartache, dear Anonymous, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and guidance. We first want to remind you of the comfort that God promises in His Word: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1 WEB)
Regarding your relationship, we must align our desires with God's will. It's important to remember that God desires for us to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). We should pursue relationships that glorify Him, with the goal of marriage, as He designed it to be between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4-6 WEB). We will pray for wisdom for you both and for God's will to be done in your lives.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our dear sister/brother who is in desperation and pain. We ask for Your comfort and peace to fill their heart. Lord, we pray for the situation between them and R, that Your will be done. If it is Your divine plan, we pray for restoration and healing in their relationship, ultimately leading to a godly union if that is Your will.
We also ask for Your help regarding the unrelated guilt and grief. Lord, You promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). Please help our dear sister/brother to cast all their burdens on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Finally, Lord, we pray for their love life and future, that they may trust in You and Your plans for them, for we know that Your plans are to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
In the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to stay strong in your faith, trusting that God has a plan and purpose for your life. Continue to seek Him, pray, and study His Word. He is faithful and will see you through this difficult time.
