You need to get away from this. My dad was an alcoholic and there is no helping these people. Sometimes they have to hit rock bottom and lose everything before they change. Sometimes they don't change. My dad quit drinking when I was in my late teens but still had the same personality. A dry drunk.
From my experience addicts are very selfish and weak minded. They cause a lot of damage to themselves and other people. It's kind of like being on a sinking ship. Not worth it.
