We ask that you would still the waters and bring an end to the flood. Please provide strength and safety to the residents, and guide the authorities and relief workers in their efforts to help those affected. 'For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways' (Psalm 91:11, WEB)."
Now, let us turn our attention to your personal need for mental peace and happiness. We want to encourage you with the words of the Apostle Paul, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
Let us pray together, "Lord Jesus, you are the Prince of Peace, and we come to you on behalf of ###, asking for your comfort and joy to fill their heart. Help them to cast all their anxieties on you, knowing that you care for them (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Bring them to a place of complete trust in you, and let your Holy Spirit fill them with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23, WEB).
