HELP family with 2 kids marriage & job issues
I am a loving servant hearted caring person. i am adult grad student. while back in school, i have worked, been student and been involved with kids sports...but also do all the dishes, all the laundry, all the trash and straightening and picking up after everyone. My wife had applied for jobs for me while here, and i had no hits out of hundred of apps. #1 I did NOT apply, that is first mistake. It may have made a difference, but it hurt her that i did not take that initiative. and i am constantly underslept and under huge to do list, and never got to applying myself. saw friend who undergrad when i did couple yrs ago, he got hired, has nice house, and filled with nice things...same major, except i had way better gpa, 20 yrs of great biz experience on resume that he did not, he even had an arrest record. he is a christian, so i am happy for them. but it set off my wife...hurt, jealous, and i should have focused on the job, instead of only the college studies. i was trying to do the best on what was in front of me. OH she has said many times she will not lift a finger to help around house until I get applying and get a job. now i didnt apply, but met another christian and am doing a good summer temp job, $14/hr...but we need a 40K plus salary job to get off campus and on with our and our kids lives. no car payments, just student loans racked up...so she gained a lot of weight since with me, and despite us being believing and church going and small group christians, she says it is obvious that this very worst times of her life allwith me...past 12 yrs. and so i must be the common denominator. I am a driven sports minded competitor and have integrity in every dish i wash, etc. but my head was in the sand of college instead of finding a career. so she wants to be done. I had a career job interviewed...worked part time as student with campus police...for a few yrs. a yr ago i was #2 choice for a new dispatcher...they only hired 1. this time, they are hiring 2-3 they said. One has already been asked in that i know of for their polygraph. I have heard nothing, so she says it is over, they dont want me. it is a police station, they are slow to process everything, and I believe until I hear from them NO, that God could give me one of the other spots...but she is hurt and breaking point..wants to go on long 2 wk trip we planned as fam vaca with her and kids, but not me. Lastly, so after 20 yrs employment, and now 5 in college, I had my reume reviewed yesterday, and i am an idiot, that has been the problem. great stuff on it, but formatted horribly in way no one would read it. so i am excited to know it isnt just me, or no hope, but that my resume is awesome now and should stand out and hold up to others. but it is like too late for my wife she says. she wants to stay married in same house for kids, but we are done forever she said calmly.
#1 If the police job offered me the other dispatch position, she would have to eat crow a bit because i got the job. it pays pretty well, and lots of off time to do other stuff we want. she was very excited about that job.
#2 my wifes heart...we are best friends, have tons of laughs, but it is a total financial situation where all signs point to me being inadequate or whatever. i believe her heart would change / follow if her mind was allowed to see and value all i do, every minute and hour logged past 12 yrs on the chores so she wouldnt have to. serving her coffee and tea so often, foot back and head rubs, with none in return. and to appreciate my loyalty and unconditional love.
#3 other jobs to quickly bite on my new resume, so i can get my family of 4 with an 11 and 13 yr old out of 500 sq feet married student housing, and get on with our lives.
#4 lastly for her to be turned on by me,. she says i am very handsome, but is turned off by our situation, MY FAILURES in her mind. and our sexual chemistry has been horrid since she gained so much weight, which i never say anything about that or complain...but since then she has always had to help for her to be pleased we shall call it. These things make you feel not like a man. even tho i never had a prob with many, just her in this regard.
i originally signed up -banned site- and befriended all kinds of christians i could find, hoping to have this prayers back and forth opportunity on there, but my wife added herself to the account, and my -banned site- is dominated by her interactions with ppl, cuz i am not on there hardly at all. so i was excited to see such a place as this. i appreciate anyones prayers, where 2 or more are gathered, and we bring our mustard seeds of faith...thank you so much, and Lord I trust you regardless, I lift my wife Liz up to you for what is best for her...even if it isnt me, but i know how hard i have worked and how much i want to GET THERE and allow her to rest at ease about our financial future...Thank you for your ear Lord, and any who actually read all this. it is a despearate moment, but I am trusting God, and thinking of my family before me...no matter how much i may really suck to any degree my wife throws around at me...i have quality and effort behind many successes in my past and here in college. Just need a place to have a decent lil career and get us out of 500 sq ft and into a life after college. all our friends are so well off for average ppl, we are in a 1995 geo prism, i am 6-5...feel like a clown, but it is free and clear, bought when we got married, and thankful for its service...but we roll up to functions and events like that struggling couple, and most judge us like in book of Job...we must be guilty or deserving of our lot in life most tend to think to themselves we are sure by how we are treated. yet i work hard anyway and trust in God. I am working extra after hours for my job to make up for interruptions and hiccups caused by the tension and scurrying around to address the latest emergency. just want some peace to have uninterrupted work, and trust in a spouse at home helping me out by doing some chores and being soooo appreciative at all I have willingly endured for being back in college as a 44 yr old. she is on some meds too, and gets very angry sometimes at our situations, but that is not cuased by the meds, but could be increasing her emotions, i dont know. but she has always been very strong willed and emotional. But get me right...she is awesome, it is just while we together, have had a lot of suffering and set backs. our wedding date was moved back because it was supposed to be weekend of 911. guy who married us comitted suicide within i think a month or less of wedding. had some snack insurance people steal and attack and devalue her agency we had for awhile, despite being one of top producers, her family is mostly vile angry hateful people who have abused her her whole childhood, and still verbally now. so she always hoped for marrying into a very close fam, which we were, but none of them like or treat her well, so they dont like each other...tough..thank you especially Jesus for hearing this, I can not really imagine anyone caring about me or our situation. if you read this i swear i love you just for being a caring enough person to read it all. thank you for all your time and prayers for anyone you have read on this or any other sites.
sorry i cannot give MONEY right now, as we are broke grad family with two teenagers...now will this even work if i didnt donate UHG, all this time spent on here...So at least God heard and knows my needs, i do know and believe the verses about prayer and just was looking for some prayer support. thank you, a wonderful day to you all : )
