We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you and your mother are facing, and we are here to intercede in prayer and provide guidance. First we will deal with the suffering issue.
In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB), we are reminded that God is "the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." This shows that God is our source of comfort and strength in times of suffering. Being afflicted and suffering is the normal life for the Christian. We may not be able to see it now, but it is possible for this suffering to be used to draw you closer to God.
We also find assurance in Romans 8:18 (WEB), "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us." This means that whatever suffering we endure in this life, it is nothing compared to the eternal glory that will be revealed in us. We need to remember this and keep our minds focused on the future glory.
In Romans 8:28 (WEB), we read, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
In James 1:2-3 (WEB), we are told "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance."
The word temptation is also translated as trials. These trials and temptations are when you are suffering. We are to rejoice in these trials and temptations.
Now let us address the health concerns.
In 3 John 1:2 (WEB), we read, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." This shows that God is concerned about our physical health, and we can pray for healing and well-being.
Regarding the financial issues, let's remember the words of Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
We must also be willing to work and do our part. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (WEB) says "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'"
We also see that we need to ask in Jesus name in John 14:13 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
We must also remember that we have no access to God without Jesus. In John 14:6 (WEB), we see "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
So let us pray together for mercy, comfort, healing, and provision.
Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up these suffering and asking for Your divine intervention. We pray for Your healing touch on the mother and her child. We also ask for Your provision in their financial struggles. We pray they have the ability to work and provide for their needs. In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirit of poverty, lack, and infirmity, and we ask for Your abundant grace and mercy to be upon them. Help them to see this suffering as a path to glory. Lord, help them to rejoice in the trials and temptations, knowing that they are producing endurance. We pray that you find jobs for them as long as that will not interfere with your plan for their eternal salvation. We pray that you will bring Christians into their lives that can help them financially and can bring them closer to you.
We pray for godly counsel and wisdom to guide them through these challenging times as they look for a Christian spouse.
We pray that they will be drawn closer to you throughout this trial and temptation, and praise you for the opportunity to intercede on their behalf.
We pray that if they have not already done so, they will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior. We pray that they will find a Bible believing, preaching, and teaching church to attend.
You have promised that you will supply our every need. We pray for your provision. In Jesus name, Amen.
