Hello,my name is Makowe Alexander.I am a Ugandan.I have had a struggling football career.I moved from here to there hoping to make it in football.I went from my country to Rwanda and played football there for almost three years.This is where I found my wife and decided to settle with her and make a family. When we started living together,realised that there was not enough money from football to sustain our family.Considering the fact that we were expecting our firstborn child,we had to think of another way to generate enough income to be able to achieve what we desired for us.so we came up with several ideas in hopes of finding what will really work for us.We made flipflops,sold clothes,sold fish.This is when I came up with the idea of woven furniture.It really started working for us.It was so promising that we focused all our efforts and resources to it. Business was growing until the pendemic set in and everything was halted.we had to resort to other means of survival.It wasn't easy on us. My wife and I were expecting our second child when this opportunity came up.It was a football trial in Dubai.My friend convinced me of how easy it was to play football in Dubai and the pay was good.Since football was my passion,I really bought the idea and regestered for the trials.we gathered all the funds we could so that I could make it in august 2021 to the trials. When I reached Dubai,I was surprised to learn that everything was not as expected.We were scammed.I accepted that and decided to move on and look for something else to do in Dubai and compesate for the money I invested in coming.It has not been easy .At one point I had to sell all my machines back home so that I could change my visa and also pay for my accomodation.With my family crumbling. The ground shifting below my feet,I was distressed so much that I considered selling one of my kidneys to bail myself out of all this.I have not held my second child in my hands.My desire now is to go back home and embark on my projects but this has been in vain.And I dont want to go back empty handed. When I sit down and think of what I wanted to do for my family and the people back home,I feel like flying back now.I had women,men,youths,children who depended on the works that we did. Andd we were planning on expanding alot of them. I am passionate about christ and I believe that if we are the chosen people of GOD,we must be endoured with the gifts encopassing all aspects of life that it does not only end in words but in establishing things that testfy for themselves. The creativity needed for the change of my country can be provided by the church.But I have seen most of my people to be those that believe after seeing.And they need someone that can show them that it is possible and such qualities GOD has given me(exodus 35:35).My mother is a pastor with a church of over 500 people in which I also minister. So I call upon everyone who reads my story to render me any help they can so that I go back home and commence my works.GOD BLESS YOU.
