Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother Rakesh to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the struggles he is facing with alcohol and drugs, and we know that nothing is too difficult for You. Your Word tells us in Hebrews 7:25 that You are able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Jesus. We ask that You intervene in Rakesh's life, breaking the chains of addiction that bind him.
Father, we pray for Rakesh's heart to be softened and his ears to be opened to the pleas of his mother and those who love him. Grant him the strength and courage to seek the help he needs. Your Word in Psalm 34:17 says, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles." We cry out to You now, Lord, asking for deliverance for Rakesh.
We also pray for his mother, that You would give her wisdom, strength, and peace as she navigates this difficult situation. Surround her with Your love and comfort, reminding her that You are with her every step of the way.
Lord, we believe in Your power to transform lives. We ask that You would make Rakesh a new creation in Christ, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" May Rakesh come to know You as his Savior and experience the fullness of life that only You can give.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for the work You are already doing in Rakesh's life. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
