Lord Jesus, thank you for this brother. Cover his relationships, Lord. Protect him from those who would wish to harm him. Work these situations out Lord. Encourage him and strengthen him. Heal Christian's heart, minister to his discouragement, and speak to him. May he find full satisfaction and joy in You.
Lord, may Christian feel your presence during this trial. Be so real to him. Draw him closer to You. Make in him a desire to seek you out. Preserve this one for you. Set him aside for your purpose. Make Christian into a man after your own heart. Build him up in Your Word. Protect him from the enemy and evil ones. Guide him in the Spirit. May he write your Word on his heart and always follow your ways. Use this shadow time in Christian's life to gain him and he You. Surround him with brothers and sisters who are grounded in your truth. May he be knitted together with the saints. May his closest friends be ones who are ceaselessly chasing after you. Guard his heart, Lord. May he have ears to hear and eyes that see. Teach him your ways. Lord Jesus, may his faith never waiver.
Dear brother, it sounds to me like you are under attack. Satan hates young Christians because you are the most effective at winning others to Christ. The older you get the more solid your ideals and beliefs become--too rigid to consider the possibility of Jesus Christ. You are in a prime position to thwart Satan's plans for the unsaved youth.
If you have wronged your team apologize to them -- it will free you from your guilt. May the Lord impart grace to them so they will give it to you when you ask their forgiveness. As for the bullying, pray about it, tell someone with authority, avoid as much as possible, and do not cower. The Lord is
with you, inside you,--there is nothing to fear. As for the girlfriend, I am sorry that you gave your
heart away and that you are hurting. Turn to the Lord in prayer and through reading the Bible. He will comfort you.
I feel led to tell you that you shouldn't be dating at your age, unless you plan to marry in a couple of years. Dating, and unfortunately sex, for unbelievers are recreational activities. For a Christian, who wants to honor God, it's serious business. We date to find a spouse but unbelievers date for the fun of it. I'm not saying Christians don't have fun while we're dating to find a spouse, but our end game is
marriage while the pagans' goals are usually just sex (sometimes with marriage as an afterthought). If a Christian dates just to date then he/she is firstly,
conforming to the world and secondly, opening themselves up to
temptations (the same
temptations we ask God to lead us away from).
Your basically standing on the train tracks waiting for a train to come and hit you if you date with no purpose, which should be the
right purpose since you are a Christian. It's a hard thing to bare (but
not impossible), to not date when all your friends are and you don't want to be alone but if it is going to compromise your dedication to the Lord then it is not worth it. I say this from personal experience and my walk with the Lord. If you feel alone seek out fellowship--that is what brothers and sisters are for. If you struggle with lust do not feed it or give it a chance to manifest into anything more than reels in your imagination. Actually, if lust exists in your imagination you need to take that to the cross and
slice it to pieces for good measure. It will eventually
destroy you when your curiosity gets the better of you if you don't nip it in the bud now. Also advice from personal experience.
Christian, when you feel like nothing then
cry out to God. He is listening to you because you are everything to Him. You are his
precious child whom he died for. You are worth the life of God. You are a
temple of God. You house God. God lives in you. You have the Spirit living inside of you. That is not nothing--it is everything. This is why God tells us to
set our mind on the Spirit because it gives us life and hope. When we set our minds on our flesh, failures, worldly situations it brings us death and we feel like nothing because death is the epitome of nothing.
Keep running the race, Christian. Be encouraged. The Lord lives! Keep fighting the good fight.
In Him,
Aislinn
