hello,

i m troubled about something. i got hired to homeschool a teenage girl starting in august. I was very excited about the position, until i started reading all these articles on independent contractors versus employees. It looks like i am an employee based on all the guidelines. She provides the material she wants me to present to her daughter, gives me the hours, etc.

I am extremely honest about my taxes, but having an employee status puts a lot of burdens on this lady who hired me to teach her daughter. I REALLy dont want to put her through all the paperwork!!

I was hoping i could just report my income to the IRS and leave her out of it, now it looks like i cant.

Please pray for a loophole that is legal. I read that homeschool teachers are employees according to the IRS. Tax people feel free to pm me if you can help. Thanks.
