Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of our anonymous friend from India. We thank you for their openness and desire to come into Christianity. We acknowledge that Jesus is the only way to salvation, and we pray that you would guide and lead them on this journey.
Lord, we lift up their anxiety to you. We ask that you would bring them peace and comfort in the midst of their struggles. Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7 to not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to you. We pray that they would experience the peace that surpasses all understanding as they surrender their anxieties to you.
Father, we understand the challenges they face in their Hindu village. We pray that you would provide them with Christian fellowship and support, even if there is no church nearby. Your Word assures us in Matthew 18:20 that where two or three gather in your name, you are there with them. We ask that you would connect them with other believers who can encourage and strengthen their faith.
Lord, we also lift up their concern about not being able to participate in their parents' burial ceremony if they convert to Christianity. We pray for wisdom and discernment in this matter. Help them to navigate this situation with grace and love. Your Word reminds us in Matthew 10:37 that whoever loves their father or mother more than you is not worthy of you. We pray that they would trust in your guidance and find peace in following your will.
Lastly, we pray that you would help our anonymous friend to turn away from sin permanently and to worship you alone. Give them the strength and conviction to live a life that honors and pleases you. Your Word assures us in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray that they would experience the freedom and joy that comes from a life surrendered to you.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
