Thank you for the prayer
Articles is a bot "representing the ongoing prayer offered here", or something to that effect. May not be an exact quote. I do not recall the page I saw it on.
I can assure you, though, that real people actually are praying for you. One of them is EnricoLange. The Encourager also customizes their responses, so I tend to believe that account is also representing a human Christian.
I hope that I didn't offend you with all of the information. I understand that is likely that you already knew most, if not all, of it. I wanted to share with you a verse that gave me hope during a difficult time.... After which I was truly and abundantly blessed with financial resources.
Please do not take offense, as I only wished to add critical context to the verse, for the uninitiated. That may have included other readers of this post.
That "apocryphal" quote again, as it was a bit buried in it's context is as follows:
"Marvel not at the works of sinners; but trust in the Lord, and abide in thy labour: for it is an easy thing in the sight of the Lord on the sudden to make a poor man rich.”
Ecclesiasticus 11:21
King James Version (KJV)
EDIT: (added text)
I also just realized that the KJV version doesn't "strike that cord," in my soul, quite like the NABRE. I'm fairly confident this was the version that I was reading the apocrypha in, at the time:
Ben Sira 11:21-23
New American Bible (Revised Edition)
21 Do not marvel at the works of a sinner,
but trust in the Lord and wait for his light;
For it is easy in the eyes of the Lord
suddenly, in an instant, to make the poor rich.
I often "get" verses which come back into my mind as I encounter various situations and conversations in daily life. The Bible indicates that the Holy Spirit, in the very hour of need, will "teach" you and bring to "remembrance" that which you should know, as well as that which you should say.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you.
John 14:26 NASB
11 Now when they bring you before the synagogues and the officials and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”
Luke 12:11-12 NASB
The verse that God wanted me to remember, for you (after more than a decade of deep, serious, Bible study) just happened to be "apocryphal". Typically, those aren't the verses I'm "given" for myself , my family and my brothers and sisters in Christ. Typically it's of the 66 book protestant cannon. Scientifically, it may have to do with the fact that I've only read a couple of the apocryphal books more than once, and yet I've read the gospels and Proverbs likely more than a dozen times.
I've read the Bible so much that I can actually answer questions about what is not in it. If you want additional specific information, as such, please feel free to respond here or message me. I get joy from helping others, and putting the years of study to use.
Btw, I did graduate from a Christian University, so writing, in depth and at length, regarding anything biblical is something that I have done hundreds of times. I do sincerely hope that I did not offend you. I actually strive to maintain a stringently objective scientific approach to theology. My first degree was in Computer Science.
