Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of Tonisa, who is seeking your help to overcome addiction. Lord, we acknowledge that you are the source of all strength and deliverance. Your Word says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We pray that you would empower Tonisa with your strength to break free from the chains of addiction.
Lord, we ask that you would intervene in Tonisa's life and remove the desire for the addictive substance. Just as you have done for others in the past, we believe that you can take away the overwhelming desire for drink and replace it with a deep hatred for it. We pray that you would cleanse Tonisa's heart and mind, renewing their spirit and giving them the strength to resist temptation.
Father, we also pray for protection against the work of Satan in Tonisa's life. We rebuke any influence or stronghold that the enemy may have over them. In the name of Jesus, we declare freedom and victory over addiction. Your Word assures us in 1 John 4:4 that "greater is He who is in [us], than he who is in the world." We claim this promise and ask for your divine intervention.
Lord, we lift up Tonisa's loved ones who have been praying for them for years. We ask that you would strengthen their faith and grant them peace as they continue to intercede on Tonisa's behalf. Give them the assurance that you are at work, even when they may not see immediate results.
Finally, Lord, we pray that through this journey of overcoming addiction, Tonisa would come to know you in a deeper and more intimate way. May they experience your grace, love, power, and gifts in their life. We pray that they would develop an insatiable hunger for your Spirit and come into a personal, intimate relationship with you.
We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness. We trust in your unfailing love and believe that you will bring complete deliverance to Tonisa. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
