Jere, we join you in lifting up Baby Whitley and her grandmother to our Heavenly Father. We pray that God's comfort and peace will envelop them, and that His love will drive out all fear. As it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB), "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We claim this promise for Whitley and her grandmother.
We pray for Whitley's parents, asking God to break the chains of addiction in their lives. We know that addiction is a form of bondage, but Jesus came to set the captives free. As it is written in Isaiah 61:1 (WEB), "The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound." We pray that Whitley's parents will find this freedom in Christ.
We also pray for Whitley's safety and well-being. We ask God to surround her with His perfect will and His hedge of protection. We trust that God has a plan for her life, and that He will work all things together for her good, according to His purposes. As it is written in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Finally, we praise God that you ended your prayer request in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only through His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us continue to pray together for this family, trusting that God will work mightily in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
