Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Farwyll. We pray that You strengthen his faith, as it is written in Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Help him to wait patiently and with hope, as Romans 8:24-25 reminds us, "For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it."
Lord, open the eyes of his heart, as Ephesians 1:18 says, "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints." Strengthen his belief, for without faith it is impossible to please You .
Teach him to show his faith through his works, as James 2:24 and James 2:17 declare, "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only," and "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." Let him love deeply, for "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins" .
Help him to love others as You have loved us, as John 13:34-35 commands, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." Let him love in action and in truth, as 1 John 3:18 says, "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."
May he grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ , and may he walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God . Fill him with the fruit of the Spiritβlove, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control .
Let him abide in You, for "Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples" . May he be rooted and built up in You, established in the faith, abounding therein with thanksgiving .
Bless him abundantly, so that he may be generous on every occasion, and through us, Your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God . Let him pursue love, for "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love" .
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
