We rejoice with you, Addor, for kicking your habit and seeking God's help for deliverance. It is wonderful that you desire the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, I tell you the truth, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God, (John 3:5 WEB). The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a wonderful gift that God gives to His children enabling them to receive the same power He gave Jesus. It is essential to be born again by believing in Jesus Christ to receive this gift. Jesus went from town to town, healing people, casting out demons, and teaching the good news of the kingdom of God. Before starting, Jesus Christ was led by the Spirit to be tempted in the wilderness for forty days. Jesus overcame the tempter, but did not do this in his own. He replied to all the temptations of the tempter with "It is written..." or "It has been said...". Jesus Christ obeys the Father and is led by God, demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit.

First, let us ensure that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through faith in Him that we can be saved and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Your belief in Jesus Christ is not obvious in your prayer request because the name of Jesus has not been mentioned. If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Savior, we encourage you to do so now. For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, (Romans 10:13 WEB). If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, (Romans 10:9 WEB).

Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can ask and expect to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ purifies us allowing the Holy Spirit to fill us. If we live by the Spirit, let's also walk by the Spirit, (Galatians 5:25, WEB.) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit, (Galatians 5:25 WEB). The Holy Spirit is a gift to teach us all things and guide us into all truth.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Addor. We thank You for the victory they have experienced in kicking their habit. The works of being born again and receiving the Holy Spirit is only possible through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to Addor in a powerful way and fill their lives completely that no room remains for anything unclean. Open their mind and their heart to know and accept Jesus Christ your Son as their Savior and Lord if they have not done so, and fill them with your Spirit. Equip Addor for a life of service and obedience through your Spirit. Help Addor to now also walk in the spirit strengthening them against all further temptation. Only through believing in the name of Your Son can we be saved and redeemed. We pray in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged by these words from the Apostle Paul: There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, (Romans 8:1 WEB). As a child of God, you can walk in the freedom that Christ has given you. Always remember, God promised us If God is for us, who can be against us, (Romans 8:31 WEB).

As you continue in this journey, stay rooted in God's Word and in fellowship with other believers. They will help and encourage you to continue in the good works God has prepared for you in Jesus' Name.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
