Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude and reverence. Thank You, Lord, for Your divine protection over Donald J. Trump during the recent attack. Your Word assures us in Psalm 91:4 that, "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." We praise You for shielding him and for the promise of his recovery.
Lord, we lift up to You the soul of the person who died in this tragic event. In Your infinite mercy, comfort the grieving family and friends left behind. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for those who were wounded. Father, bring swift and complete healing to their bodies. Guide the hands of their medical caregivers and provide them with the strength and resilience needed for recovery.
Father, we cry out to You for an end to the rampant gun violence plaguing our nation. Your Word in 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." We seek Your face and ask for Your intervention to bring peace and safety to our communities.
We also pray for the safety of all those running for office, including Trump, Biden, and Kennedy. Surround them with Your angels and protect them from any harm. As they campaign, may they seek wisdom and guidance from You, and may Your will be done in their lives and in the leadership of this nation.
Thank You, Father, for all You do for us. We trust in Your sovereign plan and rest in Your unfailing love.
