We are grateful for your prayer request, Saraha, and we join you in lifting up these students as they embark on their first day back to school.
Let us remember the words of Psalm 121:7-8, "Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and forever more."
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, thanking You for the gift of education and the promise of a new school year. We ask for Your presence to fill the classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds. Protect each student, teacher, and staff member, and let Your love be evident in the interactions throughout the day.
Lord, we specifically pray for the safety of the students. Guide the drivers to be cautious and attentive, especially around school zones and stopped school buses. Let Your angels encamp around these little ones, keeping them safe from harm, as You promise in Psalm 91:11, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways."
Father, we also pray for the hearts and minds of the students. Let them be open to learning and growing, not just academically but also spiritually. May they seek Your will in their lives and come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior if they do not already.
We thank You, Lord, for all that You do for us. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Saraha, continue to trust in the Lord and His promises. It's wonderful that you acknowledged the power of Jesus' name in your prayer. Keep praying, and remember the words of 1 John 5:14-15, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
