Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the ### family in their time of loss. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You surround the ### family with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. As it is written, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18, WEB). May Your presence be felt deeply by each member of the ### family, especially ###, who is in deep sorrow.
Father, we know that ### was loved by many, and his passing leaves a void that only You can fill. Please grant them the strength to endure this difficult time and remind them of Your promise: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God" (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, WEB).
Lord, may Your healing grace and mercy flow abundantly upon the ### family. Let them find solace in Your love and in the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ. We pray that You would guide them through their grief, granting them moments of peace and the assurance that ### is in Your loving care.
We ask all this in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
