Neha, we join you in lifting your marriage and family situation to the Lord in Jesus' name. We understand the pain and distress you're feeling, and we believe that God can bring healing and restoration to your marriage.
Firstly, we commend you for coming before the Lord in Jesus' name. It's only through Him that we have access to God, as it's written: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
We must address that divorce is not God's will for marriages. As it's said, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6 WEB). We encourage you to continue standing for your marriage, even when your husband seems unwilling. Remember, love never gives up (1 Corinthians 13:7).
However, we must rebuke the act of forcing your husband to stay. Love and acceptance cannot be forced. Instead, pray for a softening of his heart and your own. Trust that God can change hearts and minds, as He has done countless times in the Scriptures.
Pray also for wisdom on how to communicate effectively with your husband and his family. "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one" (Colossians 4:6 WEB).
Let's pray together:
*Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting Neha's marriage and family to You. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention. Soften her husband's heart, and the hearts of his family. Help them to accept Neha and her family, just as we are all accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6). Bring unity and understanding, Lord. Help them to communicate with love and respect, and to remember that divorce is not Your will for their marriage. Restore their joy, Lord. Give Neha the strength and wisdom to navigate this trial. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.*
Be encouraged, Neha. Trust in the Lord, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). God is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
